About this Game
Sky Survivors is a 2D shoot ’em up platformer that borrows heavily from roguelikes and deck-building games. You play as an angelic character navigating a surprisingly serene celestial landscape, eliminating all sorts of ethereal creatures in your path. The atmosphere is undoubtedly the game’s greatest strength: a chaotic mystery permeates the entire experience.
Sky Survivors’ gameplay can be compared to that of Vampire Survivors. However, the experience is much more traditional. While familiar mechanics are present, such as the assortment of upgrades and randomized tools that become available as you progress, the overall structure is linear. Instead of carrying your divine equipment through an open labyrinth, you climb platforms to defeat bosses, then continue your ascent.
As you progress, you’ll also encounter chests that require fulfilling certain conditions to open, such as surviving a certain amount of time inside a bubble or eliminating a specific number of enemies. This adds a bit of variety to the gameplay, but the diversity of enemies and potential upgrades should be more than enough to keep you engaged.
