Surprisingly, there are two different endings, but you can achieve both in a single playthrough. If you get the bad ending, you can restart the game from the beginning to unlock the good one by finding all the journal pages. This unique narrative makes the plot darker and more unsettling in the second half.

In Tunic, you play as a fox, and your progress is primarily based on weapons and items. You’ll find about five or six different weapons, starting with a stick, and you can expand your arsenal with swords and firearms. At rest stops, you can upgrade your weapons using the money you earn.

The gameplay is Tunic’s strong point. The game offers a vast world to explore, but initially, you’ll be restricted to certain areas that will unlock as you progress. Generally, you can go almost anywhere freely. This provides a great deal of freedom in how you approach the game and achieve your objectives. In addition, the map includes areas like dungeons with monsters, challenges, and puzzles.
