About this Game

In Jumanji: Wild Adventures, there is only one game mode: Story Mode, which supports up to four players on the same console. In Story Mode, you will play as the four main characters from the recent Jumanji films, and your goal is to retrieve the Jumanji Jewel.

Players will choose from one of three difficulty levels and then make their way through a segmented map by completing unique levels. Once in a level, you will control one of the four available characters. Each character has their own unique attacks and abilities. The main objective in most levels is to reach the exit portal to complete the level. Throughout the game, you will encounter puzzles, enemies, and collectibles.

After completing all the levels in an area, you will fight a boss to advance to the next section of the map. Coins collected during your journey can be used to upgrade your character. If you’re playing local co-op, the host will be in the center of the camera, so when they move, all other players will teleport to the host’s position. Furthermore, the experience is the same for all players.

That’s all this game has to offer. My impression is that I surprisingly enjoyed it. Most movie-based games are usually pretty bad, but this one is fun to play. It felt like a classic ’90s platformer with modern graphics. The level design kept the game fresh and exciting with each new area unlocked. The character upgrades were also very rewarding. I appreciated the infinite lives difficulty option, which makes the game accessible to most players of any age. I didn’t encounter any technical or performance issues.
