About this Game
Rune Factory 5: After choosing your character, the story begins when your protagonist comes to the aid of a villager being attacked by a monster. Wounded in the fight, you are taken to Rigbarth, a neighboring town serving as an outpost for a pacifist organization called SEED. After some initial discussions, you are offered the position of knight of the town.
Rune Factory 5 combines farming simulation with action-RPG elements. At the start, you receive a small plot of land to cultivate, along with tools to clear the land before planting crops, flowers, and other plants. By depositing these in the shipping crate, you earn money, which you can then use to buy more crops and improve your property, including furniture and expansions.
In Rune Factory 5, you are an integral part of the local community and can visit the town at any time to shop or chat with the residents. Finally, you can get married if you forge a strong enough bond with someone by conversing, giving them gifts, or inviting them on adventures with you.
In Rune Factory 5, you can also upgrade other buildings in the city and your own farm, increasing the amount of resources they can sell or the services they offer. The potential for improving the game world is therefore immense.
The main strength of this series is its flexibility: you can dedicate as much or as little time as you like to each aspect. Prefer to focus on farming? That’s possible. If you enjoy combat, you can explore different areas and fight enemies. Or, if you prefer a more social approach, that’s equally possible.
