About this Game
Gothic Classic by THQ Nordic is a role-playing game scheduled for release on September 28, 2023, for the Nintendo Switch. The game recreates the classic adventure in the kingdom of Myrtana, where players take on the role of the nameless hero who overcomes obstacles to regain his freedom, profoundly impacting the role-playing genre.
When the Orcs attacked Myrtana, war broke out, forcing the monarch to demand a vast quantity of ore to craft weapons for his troops. Anyone who breaks the law in these troubled times is deported to the penal colony of Khorinis, where precious ores are mined.
A magical barrier surrounds the colony, forming a sphere two kilometers in diameter that separates it from the rest of the world. This barrier allows access from the outside, but no one can escape once imprisoned. The convicts quickly take advantage of the situation and revolt. The colony then splits into three rival factions, forcing the king to negotiate the division of its mineral resources.
