About this Game
Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu creates a great starting point for new players looking to enter the world of Pokémon while still maintaining a fun and engaging experience for returning players. Hardcore players probably won’t find much of a challenge here, but if this is your first Pokémon game or you haven’t played Pokémon in years, Let’s Go is a great starting point to jump back into.
Released initially on Game Boy in 1998 as upgraded versions of Pokémon Red and Blue, Pokémon Yellow is considered one of the best RPGs of its time. In 2018, Game Freak invited players to return to the Kanto region once again with Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu. This time, the series has been completely re-imagined with a new Pokémon-catching system, new gameplay mechanics, and a few welcome upgrades.
The Pokémon catching system uses the same mini-game circle mechanics as in Pokémon Go and blends seamlessly into the familiar gameplay of the main series. The Kanto region is filled with Pokémon trainers waiting to jump into battle. The combat mechanics are identical to the other main games of the series – turn-based combat is easy to learn but challenging to master. Even after completing the main quest, you still have over 150 Master Trainer battles and plenty of shiny Pokémon to catch.
