About this Game

Paper Ghost Stories Third Eye Open: You play as Ting, a young girl who can see the spirits around her. You form a unique bond with Xiu, a young ghost searching for peace. Together, you will face challenges from both the real world and the spiritual realm, striving to maintain your sanity and morals while discovering whether this power is a gift or a curse.

Her journey

The story covers five important years of Ting’s childhood and reveals how her supernatural abilities set her apart from other children. Will you control this power? Can you help your family, friends, and the troubled souls you meet along the way? Rival spirits will seek Ting’s help, alternately misleading or misleading you to serve their own conflicting agendas.

Her fate

To unravel the mystery at the heart of this emotional adventure, you’ll need to navigate delicate conversations, rescue lost souls, solve enthralling puzzles, and use stealth to evade evil spirits and other threats. Ting also has to deal with a family on the verge of falling apart – a family for whom she may be the only hope.

A wonderful cultural adventure

*Third Eye Open* stands out with a beautiful visual style reminiscent of a living “paper theater”, inspired by the Malaysian art of paper displays (Joss paper). From activities and locations to characters and dialogues, the story is deeply steeped in Malaysian traditions, culture, and folklore. You’ll visit morning markets, befriend an old monk, party at the Lok Lok and Nyonya Kuih night markets, dodge wandering forest spirits, and much more. *Third Eye Open* is the final episode of the award-winning *Paper Ghost Stories* series, which began with the short game *7 PM*. Steeped in mystery and suspense, these stories draw inspiration from Malaysian and Chinese myths and culture.
